Indexing of government grants

During a discussion about the tuition fee-free boards, fractie SAM proposed to the Board in 2016 to index the board scholarships annually. The management grants serve as compensation for student directors as they are delayed in their studies due to an administrative year. Because studying is becoming increasingly expensive and the statutory tuition fee rate is also being increased annually, we are of the opinion that the government grants should be adjusted accordingly. The Board has taken our proposal on board and therefore the University Council of 10 February 2017 decided that the government grants will be indexed annually!
